In the south of Bolivia lies a windswept land supporting a few remote and isolated villages. A land of towering volcanoes, colourful lakes, shimmering salt pans and an immense blue sky offering a distant horizon to tempt the intrepid traveller. This documentary is about an adventure journey that starts in La Paz, the country’s largest city and then moves onto the judicial capital, Sucre and then to Potosi, the old silver mining town. From here the journey continues to the remote and scenically fantastic south west region, an area bounded by the railway lines that link Uyuni to the Chilean and Argentine frontiers.
